| Here are some sites
of interest to history teachers...
MILITARY HISTORY
This awesome site, MilitaryPhotos.net,
features 59 WW I era color photos (many are French).
"These pictures are available on the French Ministry of Culture website. Color
photography was invented in 1903, yet due to the expense of color
printing, many of these fascinating images were lost to time, that is until recently."
For those of you who've been disconnected in some way from the Great War due to the black and white photos,
we hope this is an eye opener. The color photography for this historical era is very unique and helps present the major idea or theme of each photo.
World War I was the first "industrial war" or a war where modern technology played a major part and which affected both military personnel and civilians.

INTERACTIVE U.S.
HISTORY
U-S-History.com has been developed to provide students of American history with an interactive tool with which to locate detailed information about the nation's history.
The purpose of this web site is to provide a comprehensive history of
the United States, providing more detail than would be available from
most textbooks, with intensive cross linking of pages. It should be of
interest to advanced high school students and college and university
students taking introductory courses. However, elementary classrooms
have enjoyed the site as well.
